Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women - more than car accidents, muggings and rapes combined.
Women who have experienced domestic violence desire more for themselves and don't want to be thought of as a statistic, or to be stereotyped. Domestic violence affects everyone of all economic and educational backgrounds, and all nationalities and genders. Of the population that experience family violence, 70 percent are women.
Communication is Key
The workshop is designed to share information on helpful tools and practices to improve the services we provide to domestic violence victims. Attendees will also be given the opportunity to share their expertise, as the exchange of information is welcomed. See the calendar of events for scheduling.
